Drs. Homi J. Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai, two outstanding guys, are the subject of the book Rocket Boys. The plot is centered on the three pivotal decades in India’s history—the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s—and how the country is developing into a powerful, brave, and independent country. It tells the tale of science’s formative years in Independent India.
Dr. Vikram Sarabhai founded the Indian Space Programme, and Dr. Homi J. Bhabha constructed India’s nuclear program with dreams in their eyes and a vision in their minds. Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, a pioneer in modern Indian aerospace and nuclear technology, Dr. Bhabha’s close friend Parvana Irani, Raza Mehdi (a distinguished scientist who is not real but a fictional character scripted as antagonist for dramatization), and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who supported them at every turn, are also important figures in their journey.
